The real comparison isn't price — it's your time
| Per 5-minute language sample | Manual / SALT | ConductSpeech |
|---|---|---|
| Transcription | ~25 min (by hand) | ~1–2 min (AI) |
| Coding & analysis | 60–75 min | Automatic |
| Clinical report draft | 30+ min | Seconds |
| Total per sample | 2–3 hours | 5–10 minutes |
A 50-student caseload at two samples each is ~150 hours saved a year — about $9,500 of your time for $290/year.
Questions
How is this different from SALT's one-time $249 license?
SALT is a 40-year-old desktop program with no AI — you still transcribe every sample by hand (about 25 minutes each). ConductSpeech auto-transcribes and analyzes in minutes, runs in any browser, and writes the clinical report for you. The subscription pays for the ongoing time savings: roughly 2.5 hours back per sample.
What do I get on the free plan?
Three saved samples a month with full AI transcription, every language metric, grade and protocol norms, and the SALT-style transcript editor. AI clinical reports, IEP goals, client tracking, and export are on the paid plans.
Is the price worth it?
A school SLP with a 50-student caseload runs ~100 samples a year. At ~2.5 hours saved per sample and a ~$38/hr wage, that's about $9,500 of time back — for $290/year on the Clinician plan.
Can my district pay by purchase order?
